Why did you decide to make VetKey?

VetKey started with a simple realization: veterans are surrounded by benefits, discounts, and programs, but most of them are hard to find and even harder to use. Information is spread across thousands of websites, PDFs, and “maybe you qualify” pages that never tell you what to do next.

We kept seeing the same pattern: veterans either miss out entirely or spend hours chasing the wrong thing. That’s frustrating, and it’s unnecessary. We wanted a tool that does what benefit pages rarely do—make eligibility clear, organize everything in one place, and turn confusion into a next step.

VetKey is built to help veterans feel more confident, more organized, and more in control of what they’ve earned.

Who makes VetKey?

VetKey is built by a veteran-led team focused on one thing: making benefits easier to understand and easier to claim. We also lean on feedback from real veterans to shape what we build next, what we improve, and what we prioritize.

What kinds of benefits and discounts does VetKey include?

VetKey covers a mix of:

  • Brand and retail discounts
  • State and local veteran programs
  • Education and training resources
  • Housing and home-related benefits
  • Travel, fitness, and everyday savings
  • Other veteran-specific programs and services

The goal isn’t to dump a giant list on you. It’s to help you find what matters most, first.

How does VetKey work?

VetKey works in a simple flow:

  1. You answer a few questions (and can skip anything you don’t want to share).
  2. VetKey matches benefits and discounts to your profile.
  3. Each match shows clear eligibility and the next step to claim or apply.
  4. You can save benefits and keep track of what you’ve already acted on.

How much does VetKey cost?

VetKey is subscription-based so the product stays aligned with its mission: no ads, no spam, and no business model built on distraction.

Pricing may vary as VetKey evolves, but the idea stays the same: keep it affordable, keep it useful, and keep it focused on helping veterans actually take action.

Do I need to create an account?

If you want VetKey to save your matches, track progress, and sync your profile across devices, you’ll need an account. If you’re just browsing, you can still explore without filling out everything.

What data does VetKey collect?

VetKey only asks for what it needs to personalize matches and keep your account working. Some profile questions may be optional (like disability rating). You control what you share, and you can update it anytime.

VetKey may also collect basic usage analytics to improve the product (for example, which features are used most), but the goal is always to make the experience better—not to target you.

What does VetKey do with my data?

VetKey uses your profile data to:

  • match you with benefits you may qualify for
  • reduce irrelevant results
  • show clearer next steps
  • keep your saved benefits and progress organized

You can edit your profile anytime. You can also delete your account and data from settings.

Does VetKey share my data with third parties?

No. VetKey is not built to sell your personal information. If VetKey uses third-party services to operate the app (like hosting, analytics, or email), those services are used to run VetKey—not to sell your data.

Is VetKey “personalized” with algorithms or AI?

VetKey uses your profile inputs to filter and match benefits—meaning it’s personalization based on what you tell it. The goal is usefulness, not addictive feeds.

As VetKey evolves, some features may use automation to improve matching and organization, but the priority stays the same: clarity, transparency, and control.

How do you verify benefits and keep info accurate?

VetKey is designed to keep benefits organized and up to date, but benefits change. Providers update pages, state programs shift, and rules evolve. VetKey prioritizes linking to official sources and improving accuracy over time.

If you ever spot something incorrect, reporting it helps improve VetKey for everyone.
